Pretty In Pink

Hello Darlings...

A girl always looks pretty in pink...
Why?

Pink: is a pale red color, which takes its name from the flower of the same name. According to surveys in Europe and
the United States, pink is positively associated with love, beauty, charm, politeness, sensitivity, tenderness, sweetness, childhood, femininity, and the romantic. When combined with violet or black, it is associated with eroticism and seduction.

Pink was first used as a color name in the late 17th century.

Pink lipstick
is thought to attract attention and harmonize with flesh colors, clothes and fashion accessories. It is usually colored with synthetic pigments or with carmine,a natural pigment made from the cochineal insect.

Pink is the color most commonly associated with sweet tastes.

The pink ribbon has been a symbol of breast cancer awareness since 1991. The color was chosen because of its close association with femininity.
Fun facts:

  • In Thailand, pink is associated with Tuesday on the Thai solar calendar. Anyone may wear pink on Tuesdays, and anyone born on a Tuesday may adopt pink as their color.

Have a Beautiful Saturday

Something Important: No Government Like Gods Government!

Government corruption has been defined as the abuse of public power for private gain. Such abuse has a long history. For example, the Bible includes a law prohibiting bribery in judicial cases, showing that the practice was already well-known over 3,500 years ago. (Exodus 23:8) Of course, corruption involves more than just accepting bribes. Corrupt public officials sometimes appropriate goods, take advantage of services to which they are not entitled, or even steal funds outright. They may also use their position to favor their friends and relatives unfairly.

While corruption can exist in any human organization, it seems that corruption in government is the worst. The 2013 Global Corruption Barometer, published by Transparency International, reported that people worldwide have the perception that the five most corrupt institutions are political parties, the police, public officials, the legislature, and the judiciary. Consider just some reports that highlight the problem.

  • AFRICA: In 2013, some 22,000 public officials in South Africa were charged with misconduct for corrupt activities.

  • AMERICAS: In 2012, in Brazil, 25 people were convicted of using public funds to buy political support. Among those convicted was the former president’s chief of staff, the second most powerful man in the country.

  • ASIA: In Seoul, South Korea, 502 people died in a department-store collapse in 1995. Investigators found that city officials had been bribed to allow contractors to use substandard concrete and to violate safety rules.

  • EUROPE: “The extent of the problem [corruption in Europe] is breathtaking,” according to European Commission Home Affairs Commissioner Cecilia Malmström. She added that “the political commitment to really root out corruption seems to be missing.”

Government corruption has deep roots. Professor Susan Rose-Ackerman, an expert on the subject of anticorruption, wrote that reform would require “fundamental changes in the way government does business.” While the situation might seem to be hopeless, the Bible shows that even greater changes are not only possible but also certain to happen.

NEW YEAR... NEW ME SYNDROME

HELLO BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!!!

Its been such a while and i missed blogging so much, its one of the things that make me really happy.
well before i begin..
Welcome to 2015 Whooop Whoop... I thank Jehovah God for his infinite mercy, love and patience.

As we are all aware, its a new year and most people are still on the ''NEW YEAR, NEW ME'' discussion. like they are born anew or perhaps all their sins have magically disappeared.
and yes some will argue that when the phrase ''NEW YEAR, NEW ME" is used its simply figurative, meaning its a year of new possibilities etc

Newsflash.... Everyday is filled with new possibilities so why wait for a whole year to pass in order to start re-valuating yourself or things around you.

I'm of the opinion that everyday should be lived like its your last. DON'T WAIT for tomorrow or next year or an event to move you to be proactive. "Just Do It" (Nike sign)

Remember a lot can happen in a year.... Time wastes for no one. Put Jehovah first.

 LIVE, LAUGH AND LOVE.
All My Love
Vanessa....xo
